About:

Nancy K. Lane-Feldner,

Owner, Photographer, graphic/digital artist, restoration artist, calligrapher

Having grown up surrounded by a family of photographers, Nancy prefers to be on the other side of the lens these days. She has always been into the creative and visual arts and has developed many talents. These talents have not been just limited to creating, but have been shared in teaching numerous courses over quite a few years. Nancy has taught the calligraphic arts, soft sculpture, glass staining, and even pysanky (Ukrainian egg decorating). She has taught for Wright State University (in their summer children's programs), the Vandalia YWCA, City of Vandalia Parks and Recreation Adult Education Program, Milton-Union Schools Adult Education Program, and Trotwood Parks and Recreation Adult Education Program.

Finding her love of photography came in the last ten years. Taking photos of her daughters in sporting and music events in school, Nancy turned it into a sideline business. The parents began requesting photos of classmates involved in the same activities as well as senior photos. The yearbook department also relied heavily on her athletic and marching band photos. Following her daughter's graduations, the photography followed them to Wilmington College where coaches, teammates and parents took advantage of fastpitch and volleyball photos.  Developing photojournalistic and desktop publishing abilities came into play through these school events.

March of 2000, Nancy was brought into another whole world of photography.... She joined the "family" at BK Photo Products in Troy Ohio, a company with over 36 years of camera and photography expertise. Surrounded by many talented photographers, graphic and framing artists, she developed her raw talents. First trained by lab co-workers, she soon received more extensive training at Noritsu in Elgin Illinois. Also having been hired as a staff photographer for the company's online high school sports magazine. Within just a few months she was promoted to lab manager, and soon became more involved in computer graphics, design and layout, and restoration of photos. These processes allowed her to use the talents she had been developing over many, many years.

In 2003, friends and family convinced Nancy to venture out on her own and begin her own business in earnest. With this, Panther Creek Design & Photo was born.

Other experience in the photojournalism field, both past and present, have been through freelance work with the Eldora Speedway, Speedway Illustrated, PRI (Performance Racing Industries), Area Auto Racing News, Ft. Wayne Journal, Birmingham News (Alabama), Greenville Daily Advocate, Troy Daily News, Piqua Daily Call, Sidney Daily News, Urbana Daily Citizen and MVP - Miami Valley Sports Magazine. Other photo opportunities have included NFL and ABL game coverage, and part of a three person team selected to cover the National Aviation Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremonies through Miami Valley Photography. She also has had numerous advertising assignments added to her list of credits. ... including items for Eldora Speedway, various auto race drivers, and an ad layout published in Wildlife Art magazine
